It has been said that one of the happiest places in a hospital is the Maternity Unit, and here at Phelps County Regional Medical Center that holds true!

We are both grateful and proud when parents choose our facility to deliver their baby. Our highly skilled staff not only have expert technical skills, but are also gentle and compassionate as they help you during this special time.

We strive to make your stay with us a positive one by offering some special services:

• We offer four labor/delivery/ recovery suites and nine postpartum rooms. You can choose to have your baby room-in with you or have our highly trained nursery staff watch over him/her. or a combination of both. You make that decision!
• Our Level II nursery is a step-up from a regular nursery and can provide expert care if your baby needs a little extra help or some special treatment.
• If you should require a C-section, we have our own operating room located on the unit.
• Breast-feeding educators are on-staff to help you with any questions or problems you may have if you decide to breast-feed.

Our nurses are specially trained to provide you with the best and most compassionate care. They understand that new moms and dads may have a lot of questions, and they are prepared to answer them.

When it's time for you to leave, each family is sent home with some special gifts and, if you desire, your baby can be featured on our website so that your family and friends can take a peek at the new arrival.

Phelps County Regional Medical Center takes pride in the fact that we share in what is likely to be one of the most miraculous moments in a family's life! We do not take this honor lightly.
