Hospice
Our Philosophy
Hospice affirms life.

The final stages of life for the terminally ill are just as important as other stages. Hospice care is designed to manage pain and other symptoms of disease, when a cure is no longer sought, to enable patients to live an alert, pain-free life so their final months and weeks are peaceful and dignified. The Phelps Regional Homecare Hospice team provides not only medical and nursing care, but also emotional, spiritual and bereavement support for patients and their families.
Hospice recognizes dying as a normal part of life; therefore, will not hasten nor postpone death. Hospice emphasizes the quality of life, rather than the length of life, and we are sensitive to the desires and concerns of the patient and encourage patient and family participation in care decisions. Hospice is designed for individuals who have an illness that is certified by a physician as terminally ill.
Admission to the Phelps Regional Homecare Hospice program may be made by calling our offices or through the referral of the patient’s physician.
