2007 Nursing Education Fair to be held at PCRMC

ROLLA - SPRING 2007 - Phelps County Regional Medical Center has invited representatives from eight educational institutions to be on-hand March 9 as part of the 2007 Nursing Education Fair.

The fair, slated from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will be held in Private Dining Rooms 1 and 2 at the hospital, located at 1000 West Tenth Street, in Rolla. Admission is free. The event features representatives from area nursing schools, nursing labs for hands-on activities and hospital tours.

"We will have representatives from all different nursing units to show the variety of jobs available," said Carol Gadbury, nursing development coordinator. "We will provide tours of the facility, and participants will have an opportunity to talk with the schools about their nursing programs."

Participating Schools
Area schools represented at the event include: Rolla Technical Center, East Central College, Lincoln University, Central Methodist University, St. Louis University, University of Missouri-Columbia, Waynesville Technical Academy and Texas County Technical Institute.

Representatives from these schools will be available to discuss their programs and financial aid opportunities. Mid-Missouri AHEC (Area Health Education Center) will also be available to discuss support programs.
