Homemaker Services
Phelps Regional Homecare’s homemaker services are designed to provide the extra help a patient may need to live independently in their home. A caring staff member will go to the patient’s home and assist them according to their needs – whether it be on a long-term or one-time basis for personal care services, housekeeping, meal planning, grocery shopping or other services.
Homemaker services include:
- Medication assistance
- Skilled nursing visits
- Advanced personal care, including bathing and personal hygiene
- Respite Care
- Nail Care
- Meal Preparation
- Grocery Shopping
- Errands and posting mail
- Housekeeping chores and laundry
Private Duty
The goal of private duty care is to provide whatever the elderly, ill or disabled or their families need in order for their loved ones to live independently in their homes. "Private duty" means private pay. In other words, no government monies are used for the cost of care. The most common methods for covering the cost of private duty home care is through long term care insurance benefits, out of pocket, or other types of savings arrangements.
