Mission, Vision & Values
Mission:
Phelps County Regional Medical Center will be the preferred healthcare provider and employer of choice in South Central Missouri.
Vision
Our priority is to meet the healthcare needs of the residents in our service area, by assuring quality outcomes through investment in our people to create an environment which fosters service excellence, financial viability, and ensures organizational growth.
Value
Service, Opportunity, Attitude, Respect, and Safety (SOARS) are the essential values that collectively form the cultural foundation on which this organization’s commitment to excellence is built.
Service
We are here to serve all our customers, patients and their family/visitors, co-workers, including other departments, volunteers, and physicians. Our customers are NOT an interruption of our work; they are our reason for being here. We are committed to meeting our customers’ expectations by providing the highest quality of service with utmost care and courtesy.
Opportunity
We will seek out and be responsive to the needs and expectations of our internal and external customers. We will define and achieve excellence, delivering service that meets and exceeds these high standards and continuously improving the quality of our services. Pursuing excellence means being satisfied with no less than the highest goals we can envision.
Attitude
We will create and articulate a clear direction for all we serve by communicating our vision and values, and aligning our behavior with our values. We believe in the ethical values of honesty, mutual trust, and reciprocal responsibility. Being responsible requires us to be thoughtful stewards of resources -- accountable to ourselves, each other, and the public we serve.
Respect
Respect for one's self and for others is the foundation of honor and the basis of integrity. A hallmark of our organization is respect -- for those we serve. Respect is demonstrated by a commitment to act ethically, to welcome difference, and to engage in open exchange about both ideas and decisions. This commitment to respect is evident through our responsibility to uphold the Patient Bill of Rights, recognition and mutual respect for our co-workers and the contributions of all, and maintaining the standards and regulations of healthcare under which we function.
Safety
A safe environment is necessary for both our patients and staff. It is imperative that we all work together in a collaborative effort to maintain the facility appearance and equipment at all times in an effort to make safety a priority at PCRMC.
